Gerlan Apriandy Manu is a lecturer in Informatics Education at Universitas Citra Bangsa, Indonesia, and a doctoral student in Educational Technology at the State University of Malang. His academic interests focus on educational technology, online learning, artificial intelligence in education, learning analytics, and digital pedagogy. His current research examines video-based discussion integrated with emotion detection in online learning environments, particularly its impact on higher-order thinking skills, self-confidence, and students’ emotional engagement. He is also interested in human-computer interaction, AI-supported learning design, and innovative digital learning environments in higher education.
